POLICE have launched a probe after a fire was deliberately started within a derelict block of flats.
The blaze was started within the block of flats in O’Hare, Bonhill and cops were called to the incident at around 12.15am on Tuesday, June 21.
Police say the fire was extinguished and has caused extensive damage to the building. They also confirmed no one was injured.
Detective Sergeant Darren Munogee, of Clydebank Police Office, said: “At this time we are continuing our investigation to trace whoever is responsible for this incident.
"We have been carrying out enquiries in the local area and studying CCTV footage to gather more information on this crime.
“I would ask if anyone witnessed anything suspicious, or has any information that will assist our enquiries to contact Clydebank Police Office through 101.
"Alternatively CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
