A YOUTH hub has been created at a church in East Renfrewshire thanks to a donation from a leading housebuilder.
Mactaggart & Mickel Group has donated over £5,000 to Eaglesham Parish Church to develop its facilities for young people.
The church has created a youth hub within the new Carswell Centre and upgraded equipment and furniture with the funding.
The church welcomed the donation from Mactaggart & Mickel Group, whose Polnoon development is located in Eaglesham.
Craig Wishart, fundraising coordinator of Eaglesham Parish Church, said: “We cannot thank Mactaggart & Mickel Group enough for their support.
"It has allowed us to kit out the youth hub, providing a place that our young people want to spend time in.
"The table tennis has proved to be incredibly popular as have the comfy bean bags!”
Ed Monaghan, chief executive of Mactaggart & Mickel Group, added: “Working with the local community is really important to us and we’re always happy to provide support to organisations in the areas we build.
"We pride ourselves on our community work and the Eaglesham Parish Church is just one of the groups we support.
"We hope local youngsters will have plenty of fun and enjoyment in the new Youth Hub.”
