THREE thugs kicked and punched a man leaving him with a fractured ankle in a brutal attack in Glasgow city centre.
The 30-year-old and another man, 34, were both targeted on Bell Street opposite the Merchant Square building at around 3.30am on Sunday, June 26.
Police say his three attackers left the scene in an unknown direction after the beating.
The 34 year-old man suffered a minor injury and did not require hospital treatment.
The 30 year-old man returned home by his own means but the next day he had to attend hospital to receive treatment for a leg injury.
Detective Constable Derek Cameron is appealing for information.
He said: “A man was left requiring treatment for a fractured ankle as a result of being kicked and punched by these men.
“The descriptions we have of the men are limited at this time. Merchant Square at Bell Street is a busy part of town on Saturday night into Sunday morning and I am confident that there are many witnesses to this attack.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information which may be of value to police, please contact officers via 101.”
The men are described as being white, medium height and medium build. All are described as being in their mid-twenties. One man is described as wearing a white t-shirt. Another man is described as wearing a black t-shirt.
Anyone with information can get in touch with officers at Stewart Street CID via 101 or alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.
