  1. Plan your travel

Bus is best: it’s the easiest and quickest option – just sit back, relax and let the driver drop you closest to the festival, so you can start your weekend. For all travel options and information log onto www.trafficscotland.org/tinthepark.  Remember, there are no walking routes to the festival, so don’t risk it.  Also please note, Scotrail staff have a strike planned on Sunday July 10th which may impact rail services, so take this into consideration when planning your travel and check www.scotrail.co.uk for up-to-date information about services to Gleneagles and Perth stations.

  1. Be weather wise

Forecasters predict we will enjoy a warm summer, but it is Scotland and this can always change, so prepare for all weathers.Bring sun cream and a plastic bottle you can fill up for free at the water points around the site and a rain jacket and warm clothing, especially for nights when it gets colder.Leave the flip flops at home, though, it’s a festival and you’ll be walking a lot, so wellies or walking boots are still essential.

  1. Remember your essentials

Remember to pack any medication you need over the weekend, including prescriptions, inhalers and diabetic medicines.

  1. Checked the banned items list

Don’t bring any banned items to the festival – glass, flag poles, selfie sticks, nitrous oxide aka ‘laughing gas’, laser pens, air horns, multi-tools or flares.

  1. Keep your belongings safe

You’ll need your ticket and wristband all weekend, so keep them safe and dry.

Only carry the amount of cash you need, this year the bars and merchandise stalls will accept chip and pin, contactless and Apple Pay, plus there are ATMs on site. Also, the best way to ensure you don’t lose something valuable to you is not to bring it in the first place.Lockers are available in the campsite and can be booked in advance, see tinthepark.com.

  1. Respect our neighbours

If you’re driving to the event and stop in local towns, be respectful of the communities – don’t drop litter or urinate anywhere other than an actual toilet.

  1. Orientate yourself

Take a note of where you’re camping/parked so you know where you’re going after a day of amazing music. It can be confusing in the dark, so if you know your car park name or campsite zone colour, it will be easier for stewards to help you.

  1. Look after yourself

Make sure you have good breaks, drink responsibly, eat regularly and make use of our water taps to stay hydrated. There are lots of food stalls around the campsite and arena and TasteT has delicious and local produce on offer.Remember the most common way germs are spread is by people's hands, including germs that cause tummy bugs. Washing your hands properly with soap and warm water is the single most important thing you can do to prevent getting ill. Baby wipes and alcohol hand rubs don’t do the job. Make use of the handwashing facilities around the site regularly - before eating and after using the toilet.

  1. Look after each other

Keep the infamous, friendly T in the Park atmosphere going and look after each other. Our stewards are there to help you, so don’t think twice about approaching them if you need help or directions.Arrange meeting points with friends, make sure you all know where you’re going at the end of the night and drink responsibly

  1. Leave no trace

We are proud that T in the Park takes place on one of the most beautiful festival sites in the world, help us keep it that way. There is no excuse to drop litter or urinate anywhere other than the toilets.

Tickets holders are being encouraged to log onto www.tinthepark.com/info ahead of the festival for answers to a variety of FAQ’s and to follow @TITPinfo on Twitter. The account will be providing live updates from now and over the festival weekend (7th – 11th July).
