FRUSTRATED commuters were stopped on their tracks after Glasgow Subway came to a standstill - days before it is due to close.
It is understood the outer line has an electrical fault and none of the trains are currently moving.
One commuter, who did not want to be named, said: "Electrical fault on outer line. Nothing moving. Great show SPT the week before you close! Useless!"
Another commuter tweeted:
@GlasgowSubway whats going on with the outer circle? Any chance 0f some info?

Commuters were told to travel on the inner line instead while the problem was being worked on.
The underground system is due to close on Saturday and be shut until Monday, August 1 while modernisation works take place.
Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) has now announced it will run a replacement bus service throughout the suspension.
