A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been detained in connection with the murder of a pensioner in a late-night attack.
Police Scotland confirmed that they were questioning the man as inquiries continue into the fatal stabbing of 76-year-old, John Baker.
It came as police revealed that the knife-wielding thug who robbed and then murdered Mr Baker in the east end of Glasgow had threatened a woman just half an hour earlier.

Police revealed the mystery attacker frightened a woman on Albion Street, in the Trongate area, before she escaped by walking into the Boteco De Brasil restaurant.
The woman had been standing alone at a bus stop when the man approached her at about 11.55pm on Tuesday, June 28.
