Charlie Sheen could be swapping the glamour of Hollywood for the rainy streets of Walford after he said he would love a role in EastEnders.

The former TV superstar, who was once the highest paid actor on the small screen, is keen for a move into British soap.

The Two And A Half Men star rose to fame in films such as Wall Street and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Two And A Half Men was once the most popular show on American television but he was fired from his role as a thrill-seeking bachelor in 2011 after a series of angry and rambling interviews and public appearances in which he declared he possessed “tiger blood” and “Adonis DNA” and described his own behaviour as “winning”.

Last year he confirmed he is HIV positive and has since been hit by allegations from previous partners, including former fiancee Brett Rossi and ex-girlfriend Bree Olson, that he had unprotected sex without telling them about his diagnosis.

But now he would like to stage a TV comeback and thinks Albert Square could be the place to do it.

He told The Daily Star: “A British soap opera set in London sounds great. I’d love that.”

The actor then asked: “How can I make it happen?”
