A SUMMER festival of music, workshops, food and family friendly activities is being held this weekend on the Forth and Clyde canal.
The Speirs Lock Summer Party has been organised to celebrate the cluster of cultural organisations and outdoor activities along the canal at Speirs Locks.
There will be taster sessions at Pinkston Watersports Centre, wake-boarding trials at Glasgow Wake Park and live music and food.
Creative workshops led by Glasgow Sculpture Studios will also be held and an artist sample sale at nearby Grey Wolf Artists Studio.
Steve Dunlop, Chief Executive of Scottish Canals, added: “Speirs Locks has been transformed into a bustling hub of activity over the past few years and is now an important cultural, commercial and recreational quarter for the city.
"The summer party will celebrate everything that makes the area and the community that calls it home unique, from the creative energy of The Whisky Bond to the rather more literal energy of Pinkston Watersports and Glasgow Wake Park."
