Pokémon Go is the latest craze to take over the world, gaining some bad press over the weekend.

The game is pretty simple - you travel the streets of your town trying to find Pokémon to catch. Each landmark in a town is a Pokéstop that will gift you with items, and you can travel to gyms to train your Pokémon.

The app has had some bad press though - from armed robbers using the game to lure players into a trap to one man's house being turned into a Pokémon Go gym, it's about time that some feel good stories come out about the revolutionary gaming app - and one Reddit user has done just that.

Reddit user the_sylince shared their story on the official Pokémon Go Reddit thread about how the game is 'bringing out the best in humanity...'

You can read the thread in full below - be warned, it may break your heart:

"I'm a teacher, mostly 6-8 with some high school work on the side, so I get to see the absolute worst in kids and how they're impressed upon, treat each other, and suffer through.

Tonight was not a night of the same thing.

There's a local hotspot strip with four pokestops and two gyms, it was packed all day. I started walking the strip at 5pm because I'm an adult and I can waste my whole day Ash'ing it up, damnit. When I arrive, all of the stops have lures and people of all ages and demographics are reaping the benefits. I'm having a great time, chatting with strangers, bumping into kids I've taught, generally flexing my nerd game.

It's suddenly 9pm, because, you know, Pokemon... Each spot had been active with lures all four hours. Some people who have hung out also realize this, but I'm the inquisitive type...

Find out it's this extra anxious and awkward kid in his teens, heavy set, clearly not used to polite companionship. Also, alone. I approach him, ask him his name, what's up, how he likes the game. Turns out, he'd been there since 2pm, dropping real money on coins for lures so he'd have friends to talk to and play the game with. My heart breaks. I can't do much for him, I'm a thirty year old man with bills and sensible opinions about beer, anything I might say or offer would seem uncomfortable to him.

Humanity heard the shattering of my heart and sends two teenaged girls and the boy that's been following them into the scene. They'd overheard, had also been playing, and promptly sat next to him. They each gave him some cash, a couple of bucks, and one says "That's bullsh*t. You're cool enough, don't go broke." The other two agree, I agree and work my way out of the situation.

I spent another two hours walking up and down, because my childhood takes precedence here. I see the kid, still with the other three, walking, laughing, generally being a teenaged human.

Way to go, humanity. Way to go, Pokemon."

If that doesn't put a smile on your face, we don't know what will!
