TOP cops are probing a suspicious death after a body was discovered within a property in Glasgow’s South Side.
Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team have launched an investigation after the body was discovered within a flat in Kenmure Street, Pollokshields at around 9.50am on Thursday, July 14.
A couple living in a flat on 73 Kenmure Street told The Evening Times that police questioned them about their neighbour, who lives in the first floor flat.
They said they last seen the man around two weeks ago and he had only lived in the flat for three months.
They described him as a nice man but weren't sure of his name.
They said he was white and in his 60s, and he would often walk up and down the street.
A neighbour also said the man was deaf.

Cops, however, have not said they would not confirm if the body found was a man or a woman.
They, however, said after enquiries the death is being treated as suspicious.
A lane which features allotments and the back garden of the flats was guarded by an officer while another cop stood watch at the front of the close of 73 Kenmure Street.
Other residents spoke of their shock at the find in an otherwise quiet street.
One man, who did not want to be named, said: "This area is pretty quiet, residential, and full of families. It is definitely shocking to hear this has happened.
"It is scary. It is horrible."
A woman, who lives in Kenmure Street, said: "I've seen the police here since yesterday. We were told we are not allowed down the back at all.
"The street is usually all right. We are shocked but we don't know what happened."

The body has also yet to be identified but officers are in the process of conducting door-to-door enquiries in an effort to find out additional information. CCTV footage will also be gathered for detectives to review.
A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Detective Mark Henderson said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing and specialist forensic teams have been conducting enquiries at the scene.
“We are in the process of determining when the death occurred and efforts are underway to establish the person’s identity.
“I am seeking the assistance of the local community to provide us with any information, I am asking them to think back over the last two-to-three weeks, did you see anything unusual, did you hear anything unusual?
“Please, pass on any information, even if you think it’s unimportant, let us be the judge of that and please do pass it on – your information could prove vital in helping us establish what has happened.”

Kenmure Street previously made headlines in 2004 as the location where murdered teenager Kris Donald was snatched before he was brutally murdered by a gang of Asian men.
Mohammed Faisel Mushtaq, Zeeshan Shahid and Imran Shahid are serving life for his murder.
