The internet has gone wild after Kim Kardashian sought revenge against Taylor Swift over her long-running dispute with her husband Kanye West.

Late on Sunday evening, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shared a series of clips on Snapchat that showed the singer giving Kanye the “OK” over the controversial lyrics in his track Famous.

The singer, 26, previously denied that she had given Kanye, 39, permission to use lyrics about her, such as: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? Because I made that b***h famous.”

But the newly-surfaced phone conversation recording – which Taylor earlier this year claimed did not exist – has understandably caused quite the uproar on social media, with thousands praising Kim, 35, for finally “exposing” the singer.

It hasn’t been an easy week in the life of Taylor, who last week was subjected to the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty trend following her beef with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, in regards his hit single This Is What You Came For.

In the row, Calvin, 32, revealed his ire over Taylor taking credit for the chart-topping track, while her long-time foe Katy Perry also waded in, reposting a tweet of her own that read: “Time, the ultimate truth teller.”

A few days later, the recording of her chat with Kanye was out online thanks to the reality TV star’s posting, after she also seemingly dubbed Taylor a “snake” on Twitter.

And, despite Taylor herself coming forward to deny that she gave Kanye permission to rap the words (she wrote, “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that b***h’ in his song?”) the internet has responded to Kim’s stupendous take-down in typical fashion.

And this latest war has now prompted a follow-up trend, hailing Kim all the while continuing to mock Taylor, with plenty of memes, gifs and tweets using the #KimExposedTaylorParty hashtag.

Kanye has long had a history with Taylor, following his storming of the stage during her acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV Video Awards.

After years of warring, they made up in front of the global stage at the Grammys in 2015, but in February 2016 Kanye unveiled the track Famous the preview for his Life Of Pablo album, once again adding drama to their strained relationship.

At the time, Taylor’s people released a statement that claimed she was unaware of the rapper’s lyrics, but Kim strongly maintained there was footage of the singer having a conversation with her husband and verbally agreeing to the track’s words.

Bad Blood hitmaker Taylor is heard saying that she understands the lyrics are “tongue in cheek” and also tells Kanye that she “appreciates” him letting her know about the song.

She has since criticised Kim and Kanye for their “character assassination” over her, adding: “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
