A MAN has died and two boys in hospital following a road crash in Ayrshire on Sunday.
Kai Milligan, 21, of Miller Terrace in Maybole was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident near Blairston Mains in Ayr at 4.45pm on Sunday.
A 15 year old boy was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, then transferred to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow.
A 12 year-old boy was also taken to Crosshouse. The condition of both was described as stable.
Police said a Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a 19 year-old woman, appears to have lost control on the B7024 northbound and left the road.
The driver, and a 17 year-old female passenger were taken by ambulance to Ayr Hospital where they were both released after treatment for minor injuries.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on the crash to contact them.
Sergeant Andy Johnston of the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Irvine said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the crash, and I would ask anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the car involved on the B7024 before the incident to contact our office.
“Anyone with information that may assist our investigation should contact the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Irvine through the 101 number.”
