Scottish Fire and Rescue attended a blaze at a property in Bellshill on Tuesday morning.
Services received a call around 3.42am with reports of a fire on Belvidere Road.
Firefighters from Bellshill and Hamilton were sent to the scene where they found a small fire in a first floor kitchen.
The fire was extinguished and a fan was used to clear smoke from the area.
One adult male was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
