COPS have made an appeal to after a careless driver abandoned their car causing damage within a wildlife site.
The vehicle was dumped in a prominent wildlife site on Carrick Forest Drive near to Loch Riecawr within Galloway Forest Park in Ayrshire.
The silver Mitsubishi was found stuck in an area of blanket bog, most likely having been driven along a footpath that leads to a black grouse viewing platform.
PC Briggs, based out of Girvan, said: "This scenic area is also an important location for viewing wildlife and through someone's blatant disregard there has been damage caused to the habitat.
“The vehicle will shortly be removed. Inquiries have so far been unable to determine the current keeper of the vehicle.
“Anyone who has any information relating to this silver Mitsubishi vehicle or the driver is asked to contact police at Girvan or Maybole via 101.”
