A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested by police probing a shooting in Govan.

The man, who is expected to appear in court tomorrow, was arrested following an attempted murder in Langlands Road on July 11.

The shooting, which occurred at 9.30pm, shocked the local community.

Michael Carroll, owner of the Langlands Road Garage which is situated on the street where the shooting happened, was not allowed to open up his business as officers continued their investigations.

He said: "This is normally a quiet area. It is shocking to hear this happening.

"We have been here for 30 years and never known anything like to happen on this street."

Two men, aged 22 and 23, were treated at the Queen Elizabeth University hospital.

A police spokesman said a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
