LEGENDARY rockers The Who have pushed forward their SSE Hydro show announcing they will instead perform next year.

The My Generation stars say they are revamping their show which means the original scheduled performance on August 29 will not go ahead.

They will instead perform at the Glasgow venue on April 7.

The new show will incorporate all their classic hits as well as a revised version of the rock opera Tommy, which they will perform for the first time at the Royal Albert Hall at the end of March.

The SSE Hydro said: "The Who have just announced that they are to perform a new set, incorporating all the hits as well as a revised version of the rock opera Tommy, which they will perform for the first time at the Royal Albert Hall at the end of March.

"As a result, the five 2016 UK tour dates have been moved to April 2017. This is to allow the band to play this brand new set across the whole tour! Due to this new set, The Who concert scheduled to take place at The SSE Hydro on 29 August 2016 has been moved to 7 April 2017.

"Original tickets will be valid for the new shows. Any customers who cannot make the new dates are entitled to a full refund from their point of purchase."
