A man has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder a man in Glasgow.
Ross Duffy, 28, appeared from custody at the city's sheriff court on Wednesday.
He was charged with attempted murder, assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life in connection with an incident which left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
His alleged victim is said to have been attacked in the early hours of Saturday in the Milton area of the city.
Duffy, whose address was given in court as no fixed abode, made no plea or declaration during the private hearing and was committed for further examination.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again next week.
