TWO men were taken to hospital after being assaulted in Glasgow city centre.

The two, aged 32 and 35, were walking on Bell Street, near to Albion Street, at 2.50am on Sunday when they were attacked.

Police said they sustained injuries and needed hospital treatment.

They released images of four men who may be able to help with inquiries.

The men are all white and aged in their mid 20s to late 30s.

Detective Constable Jamie Macleod, who is leading the investigation, said: “A violent assault like this within Glasgow City Centre cannot be tolerated and we seek the assistance of the public in tracking down those responsible.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Glasgow Police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously."
