KRISPY Kreme has announced the opening date for its fourth Glasgow store.

The doughnut retailer will unveil its latest branch - in Glasgow Central Station - on August 11 at 6am.

Commuters and fans are expected to start queueing long before the opening time to grab doughnuts in 16 different varieties.

Judith Denby, Chief Marketing Officer at Krispy Kreme, said: “We are hugely excited to be opening our fourth store in the Glasgow region, we can’t wait to serve doughnuts and drinks to all those travelling to this wonderful city.”

Glasgow shoppers have already been treated to two new stores this summer, the first at Buchanan Galleries and the second at Silvernburn.

The doughnuts for each store are delivered fresh every morning from the popular Hotlight store at Intu Braehead, which opened in December last year.

The Hotlight store at Braehead features Krispy Kreme’s famous doughnut theatre, which enables customers to watch doughnuts being made and saw 18,903 doughnut lovers visit the store in its first seven days.
