POLICE have said a missing man disappearance is out of character.
Thomas Anderson was last seen at around 7pm on Tuesday, July 26 by his daughter.
The 66-year-old, of Eastern Crescent, Kilbirnie, vanished with his car and now officers are appealing for the public’s help to find him.
Inspector Colin Convery at Irvine Police Office said: “Thomas has never been missing before and it is completely out of character for him to go away not keep in contact with his family, and they are extremely concerned.
“He is a keen fisherman and often goes away fishing, but not without informing his family. He is away in his car – a silver Ford Focus C-Max with the registration number SD54 HCY.
“I would ask anyone who has information on Thomas’ whereabouts to contact Irvine Police Office through 101.”
The missing man is described as white, around 5ft 6ins in height and of stocky build with grey hair.
He wears glasses and was clean shaven when he was last seen.
It is believed that Thomas will be wearing a khaki green moleskin jacket.
