TRIBUTES have been paid to a man who died after he was thrown off his motorbike when it clipped another car.
The man, who has been named locally as Waqas Khan, was travelling east on his motorbike on Albert Drive in Pollokshields at around 8.15pm on Thursday, August 4 when it appears to have clipped the side of a Ford Galaxy also travelling east.

This resulted in the 32-year-old being thrown from the bike. Ambulance Service attended but he died at the scene.
The male driver of the Ford Galaxy was not injured. No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash.
Friends of the Khan family took to social media to pay tributes to the popular rider.
It is understood Waqas was brother to sister Safina and brother Shahbaz.
Shahbaz Mirza said: “Our dearest sister Safina Khan, our best friend, our shining light, our happiness, lost her brother today Waqas Khan in a motorbike accident.

“When things like this happen in life you suddenly realise all the things that are important.
“Family, our time and our faith.
“To pass away at such a young age, it's always painful to know in the heart, but to him we belong and to him we shall return.
“ May our most merciful, our most high and most beloved send his mercy on the family and give them peace during this time.
“Such sad sad news please do a good deed in this brothers name and may Allah accept it.”
Akeel Ghaffar said: "Really saddened to hear the news of Waqas Khan, brother of a friend Safina Khan, passing away from a motorbike accident today. Please do pray for him and for the family too."

Sairah Mohammed said: "Absolutely devastated to hear about the collision between the car and motorbike in Albert Drive. Waqas Khan was the motorcyclist who has been announced dead at the scene."
