DJ Suzie McGuire is celebrating after her divorce from her abusive ex-husband Derek Mitchell was finalised today after a £30,000 out of court settlement.
The 46-year-old shared her delight on Facebook after checking herself in on the social media site as being at Paisley Sheriff Court.
She said: "FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!
"Onto a happy new chapter with my babies and my gorgeous fiancé!!!!!!
"The sense of relief is overwhelming!!!
"A heartfelt thanks for the incredible support received from my family, friends and FB family throughout the darker times.
"It's over."
Alongside her status she also posted a meme which read: "I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me."
Derek Mitchell, 36, was convicted of a series of domestic assaults on Suzie in November 2014.
The pair were offically divorced in a hearing which lasted just ten minutes.
Earlier this year the former Radio Clyde presenter got engaged to businessman Kevin Irvine in Italy.
