POLICE investigating the attempted murder of a man in Glasgow city centre have arrested a second man.
The 21-year-old has been arrested and detained in police custody following an incident in West George Street on Saturday, August 20.
Police previously confirmed that a 16-year-old had been arrested following the incident which left a 40-year-old fighting for his life after the alleged attack at 2.40am.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
He was then transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is said to be serious.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the men are expected to appear in court.
