Shops and businesses are being encouraged to show they are accessible for customers with guide dogs.
Guide dog owners and volunteers will be in Glasgow city centre on September 1 to offer businesses ‘Assistance Dogs Welcome’ window stickers.
It follows a similar campaign in Dumfries and Inverness.
The Equality Act 2010 ensures people who are blind and partially sighted have the same rights to services such as restaurants and B&Bs as everyone else.
Emma Brown, engagement officer for Guide Dogs Glasgow’s mobility team, said: “Most businesses are very accommodating and helpful to assistance dog owners, which is great.
“Unfortunately, we do sometimes hear of a guide dog owner not being allowed into a shop or restaurant because of their guide dog, which can really knock someone’s confidence.
