Police have launched a probe after a man was found injured on a Greenock street.
The 23-year-old was injured during a disturbance in the town's Belville Street at around 11.20pm.
He was found with serious injuries and died at the scene.
Police say they are treating his death as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "At 11.20pm, police attended Belville Street in Greenock following reports of a disturbance.
"A 23-year-old man was found with serious injuries and he died at the scene.
"Police are treating the death as suspicious and anyone with information is asked to call 101."
