THE annual reunion for Scotland Street School pupils is to be held on September 3.

One of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s most celebrated architectural masterpieces, from 1906 to 1979 it served the city’s children.

Each year the museum gives former pupils the chance to meet and share stories of their time there.

The event is also open to ex pupils of all other schools in the Kingston, Tradeston and Kinning Park areas.

Councillor Archie Graham, chairman of Glasgow Life, said: “Reunion Day offers a wonderful opportunity to stop and chat about the good old days.

"What is it they say about school being the best days of your life?

"As well as former pupils of Scotland Street, we are also keen to encourage alumni of other schools in the local area to come along, meet old friends and new and spend some time looking at photographs of Glasgow past that will hopefully bring back some happy memories.”

Previous reunion days have attracted more than 100 ex-pupils from Glasgow and beyond.

This year, attendees will be invited to enjoy the evocative photographs of Eric Watt, who documented life in Glasgow from the 1950s to the early 21st century.
