FORMER The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft took a tour around Glasgow ahead of performing in front of thousands of fans at the Summer Sessions on Friday.
The Indie star was pictured on Argyle Street in front of the iconic Central Station Hielanman's Umbrella before his support slot for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at Bellahouston Park.
The Lucky Man singer said on his official Instagram account: "Taking a walk round Glasgow, meeting some great people.
"Ready to rock and roll in the capital of live music. Peace Rich."
The solo star performed some of his biggest hits in front of thousands of fans and praised the city for having some of the best fans in the world.
He wowed the crowd with hits including Music is Power, Sonnet and Drugs Don't Work during his set.
