A GLASWEGIAN teenager returned to The X Factor in spectacular style last night to make her second bid for a shot at stardom.

Emily Middlemas made her comeback on Sunday's show after previously appearing on the ITV hit in 2014.

The 17-year-old got through to the Judges' Houses stage two years ago but failed at the last hurdle, but is now keen to progress further.

Giving it another shot, she sang a rendition of Stevie Wonder''s Master Blaster, and received positive feedback from Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger.

Fourth judge Sharon Osbourne is absent from some of the auditions due to work commitments abroad.

Saturday's show also showcased other Scottish talent including Caitlyn Vanbeck whose audition was so good that Simon Cowell compared her to original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

Even Louis Walsh heaped praise on the Edinburgh singer after she opened up about her battle with bullies.

Ryan Lawrie, from Coatbridge, also auditioned on Saturday night's episode with his own version of The Vamps' Cecilia.

The 20-year-old previously had success in 2013 with debut single You're Free.
