A TEENAGE girl who vanished after getting into a taxi to go to a house party has been found.

Hayley McGonigle was last seen at around 12.30am on Saturday getting into a taxi in Nitshill to go to a house party in Crookston.

She was dropped off at Teviot Avenue in Foxbar around 1am, and was understood to have been with her 20-year-old boyfriend.

Police have since confirmed on Monday, August 29 that the teenager has been found.

Her worried aunt Carolanne Crossey pleaded with her to get in touch via the social networking site Facebook.

In a post, she said: "This is my 18-year-old niece Hayley McGonigle.

"She was last seen by her mum and dad at 12:30am last night (Saturday) getting into a taxi from Nitshill telling them she was going to a house party in Crookston.

"No one has heard from her since. Police have been informed."

A police spokeswoman said: "Hayley was last seen at Teviot Avenue, Foxbar at 1am on Sunday morning when she was dropped off by a taxi.

"We can confirm that Hayley has now been found safe and well."
