The trial of an MP accused of assaulting a YES campaigner on the day of the independence referendum has been adjourned until later this year.
Marie Rimmer, 69, is charged with kicking Patricia McLeish at the entrance of Shettleston Community Centre on September 18, 2014.
She is also accused of behaving in an abusive manner towards other Yes campaigners and pointing in the face of Dennis Ashcroft.
The part-heard trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court was due to resume today but Miss Rimmer’s solicitor advocate Liam Ewing was not available.
He has represented the MP for St Helen’s and Whiston at her trial on earlier occasions and the court heard he is currently involved in a High Court trial.
Sheriff Kenneth Hogg adjourned the trial until November.
