STUDENTS in Glasgow have been warned about an online bursary scam.
The University of Glasgow took action after a number of students were sent emails informing them they have been awarded a bursary and asking for personal details.
The university's IT department has disabled the link to prevent students accessing the site and issued a warning on social media sites and student portals.
A spokeswoman for the University said: "As soon as we found out we acted very quickly to stop it.
"IT disabled the link from anyone trying to access it on campus and then reported it to the server so it should be blocked entirely.
"We also put a note out on Friday on social media and through the student portal alerting people to the scam."
