THE mother of a woman who has been missing for several days has thanked police after she was found safe and well at a bus stop in Airdrie.
A social media campaign was launched by the family of Nicola McGoldrick after she vanished on Thursday evening.
In a post, her mum Eleanor Harvey said: "I am so relieved and happy to tell everyone that Nicola has been found safe in airdrie at a bus stop by police.
"I am so thankful to each and everyone of you for your response on social media, I can't thank you all enough.
"I never want to go through that worry and heartache again.
"I also can't thank the police at Shettleston and Airdrie police stations for their hard work with helping to find her, they have been amazing wiith my family.
"I'm not going to post any details about Nicola and her circumstances because that is confidential to her and my family, the main thing is my girl has been found thanks to the police and respnse on Facebook from you all.
"Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart."
