A woman has been taken to hospital after reportedly jumping in the River Clyde.

Emergency services launched a rescue operation around 9am on Wednesday morning after a woman was seen going into the water.

Officers were able to pull the woman from the water near the Riverboat Casino where she was reportedly heard screaming as officers and medics attempted to assist.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “The woman was removed from the water and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
