Big hearted bosses are raising cash for a cancer-stricken colleague after high insurance prices halted her family holiday.
Elaine Watson, 44, from Hamilton, was diagnosed with stage four incurable lung cancer in January after a trip to the GP with a sore neck uncovered a lump.
The mum-of-two had planned to holiday in Benidorm with her two daughters aged 11 and 16, for her father's 70th birthday.
However her plans for a big family holiday were halted when insurance companies quoted £1200 to insure her for the big trip.
Colleagues at Elaine's have now promised to send the single mother and her daughters on a relaxing holiday without worrying about insurance costs.
Friends Ryan McCabe and Mark Wilson have launched a crowd funding page to raise cash by partipating in a sponsored head shave.
Writing on the page Mark said: "Ryan McCabe and I will be shaving my hair off for a special woman and her special girls. She is one of the most kind hearted women i know and she deserves to take her girls on holiday without the hardship of £1k for insurance."
"Its kindness in its simplest form and as someone who has felt her kindness I have a duty to help this family go on holiday."
Speaking about the fundraiser, another colleague said: "She means a lot to everyone and is always there for everyone else."
The page has already received £900 in donations from kind well wishers.
