Rangers fans in the Armed Forces will now qualify for a 25 per cent discount on tickets as a result of a pledge by the club.

The club’s managing director Stewart Robertson and Charity Foundation director Connal Cochrane signed the Armed Forces Covenant, yesterday to support veterans and current servicemen and women.

The Covenant was signed ahead of Armed Forces Day at Ibrox tomorrow at the match against Ross County.

The club and foundation have committed to a range of initiatives, including supporting employment of veterans and ticket discounts.

Serving members who present their military ID in person at the ticket centre will now receive a 25 per cent discount off the ticket price for home league fixtures.

Lieutenant Commander Gary Farmer, Royal Navy, said: “We are delighted Rangers Football Club and the Rangers Charity Foundation have signed the

Covenant and hope  this will lead to other  professional clubs in Scotland signing too.”
