A MAIN road has reopened after a woman was hit by a car this morning.
Springburn Road at Petershill Road was closed after the 19-year-old was hit around 10.25am by a black Seat Leon travelling southwards on Springburn Road.
The woman has taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and remains in a serious but stable condition.
Around eight officers were at the scene until around 2.30pm today, and were checking the car which was at a standstill on the right hand lane of Springburn Road.
A number of officers from the collision investigation team could be seen checking underneath and around the car, while other police redirected traffic and pedestrians away from the scene
The front window of the vehicle had been badly damaged, while the remained looked untouched.
Police confirmed the road has now been reopened, and they have appealed for witnesses to get in touch.
