DRIVERS are facing rush hour delays after a road crash near the city centre.

The Clydeside Expressway has been reduced to one lane in both directions due to a road traffic crash between Finnieston Street and Ferry Road.

Police are still at the scene after the alarm was raised at 4.45pm. It is not known how many vehicles were involved but there are not thought to be any injuries.

Traffic control officers have advised drivers to expect delays, and use caution on the approach to the area.

The lanes are to stay closed until further notice, according to officers.

The road runs along the river Clyde and is used by hundreds of drivers at rush hour as a quick route to get from the city centre to the Partick area and onwards.
