Rail services are facing major delays this morning after a person was struck by a train at Polmont station.
Emergency services were called to the scene after an Edinburgh to Glasgow train struck someone on the line just after 9am this morning.
The pedestrian sadly died at the scene.
Rail passengers have been advised that services will be disrupted until 11am.
ScotRail confirmed Edinburgh, Dunblane, & Glasgow Queen Street services will be affected.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "We were called at 9.07am to Polmont railway station to reports that a person had been struck by a train.
Officers attended alongside colleagues from the ambulance service but sadly the person has died at the scene.
The death is not believed to be suspicious at this time"
