A BMW was nicked after a house was broken into on Monday night.
The white BMW M125I was stolen from the Grange area of Kilmarnock at around 10pm.
Detective Constable Keith Runcie, from Saltcoats CID, said: “We are carrying out house to house enquiries and checking all available CCTV in order to trace the person or persons responsible for this crime.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw anybody in the area or noticed anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who may have seen the vehicle, or a vehicle matching its description, to contact police.
“Anyone with any information can contact Saltcoats CID on 101. Alternatively if you wish to give information anonymously, please call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111.”
