CORONATION Street On Tour has been closed to visitors until further notice after issues with the set.

Daily tours of the set have been cancelled until further notice after a tear to one of the internal air-wall panels of the showdome was found.

A spokesperson for Coronation Street On Tour said: “Technicians are on site assessing the situation.

“In the interim and in the interest of guest safety, the attraction will not be open to the public and those with tickets for tours within the forthcoming 24 hours have been notified.

“The initial assumption was this is as a result of inclement weather conditions however, until the assessment has been completed this has not been confirmed.”

The purpose-built, inflatable showdome is the main feature of the tour.

Visitors can walk past Street Cars and experience the much-loved surroundings of Roy's Rolls and The Kabin before stepping through the doors of the famous Rovers Return for a souvenir picture behind the bar.
