OASIS legend Noel Gallagher cheered on his side Manchester City at Celtic Park last night.

The singer, whose band headlined this year's Glasgow Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park, arrived in the city hours before the match which saw Celtic draw against Manchester City in a six-goal thriller.

He was spotted by guests in Renfrewshire's plush hotel Mar Hall before heading to Glasgow's East End to cheer on his side.

The club shared an image of the songwriter on their social media channels and said: "Welcome to Paradise, Noel Gallagher."

The star also shared an image on his own Instagram and joked about the characters he met during the game.

He said: "Celtic Park. Just one of the many characters on the prowl. Hail Hail, Johnny the Wig."

He later visited Glasgow nightspot 29 in Royal Exchange Square.

Prior to the match, the star joked with fans about the game at his Bellahouston Park gig in August.

He said: "What about that Champions League draw, eh?

“I’ll be there, laughing my b******s off as we put six past you.”

Noel's brother Liam has also previously said that he supports Celtic as well as Manchester City.

He said: "What a game of football respect to all those Celtic fans. What a sound. Come on feel the noise."

The brother's parents Peggy and Thomas Gallagher are also Irish.

Noel and Liam will both feature in a new Oasis documentary Supersonic which will be screened in cinemas this Sunday.
