So it’s official…Glasgow has been voted the best in the UK for road rage! True to form, we have once again lived up to our grumpy Glaswegian stereotype…

This week Lynne and I tried our own experiment on the streets of this great (but grumpy) city, to see if we could disprove this new title. So, just how long would it take to get beeped while sitting still at the green light in various parts of the city? Well, we can officially announce that Baillieston is the crème de la crème of all road rage in the UK…

Give yourself a hand, signal and toot, drivers of Edinburgh Road!

Glasgow Times: From road rage to car crashes… poor Paul Hollywood has had a tough week. As the Bake Off moves to Channel 4, it looks like Lynne’s fear has come true and that Mr Hollywood will be sitting in a big tent, in a field, on his own, as Mary Berry isn’t joining him.

Our weekly Celebrity Cake Off on the show always gets some very funny responses but this week really outdone itself. Wrong guesses for our celebrity cake included Ed Sheeran, Mick Hucknall and Keith Lemon (Drizzle) .

The cake off revealed two things this week, clearly my decorating skills really aren’t that great and secondly Lynne is confident that eggs and flour will quit the bake off next.

Glasgow Times:

Not to scare any parents, but the top toy list for Christmas has just been released and once again Furbys and Nerf guns come in as favorites.

Remember when we were kids and it was Tracy Island every year? Although the list changes yearly, one toy seems timeless -  Lego! Like any big kid, I love Lego…what I don’t love though, is standing on my kid’s Lego pieces scattered randomly throughout the house.  That feeling sits side by side with the BCG jag on the soreness charts! Bearing that in mind, our show’s producer thought it would be “hilarious” for me do a “Live Lego Walk”. After an egging on from Lynne, I braced myself and gave it a shot!

All I can say is…apart from the occasional piece tucked away and waiting for you in the carpet don’t voluntarily try this at home!

It’s like Christmas has come early at Heart Scotland – we move into our beautiful new radio studios at 1 West Regent Street next week. The city centre location has everyone thinking about one thing, where will we all go for lunch? We’ll probably opt for something healthy… I mean lunch spots near the studios include; Only Bread Meats Bread, Smoak, Hard Rock Cafe, Five Guys, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Handmade Burger, Meat Bar, Jacker De Viande and Byron Burger. Healthy burgers exist right?

Till next week….
