EVER had a hankering for a box of doughnuts after a club sesh? Or perhaps you've always wondered what a bacon milkshake tastes like?

Well sweet tooths and adventurous eaters can rejoice as Nic's NYC Deli has opened a new venue in Glasgow's west end.

Based on Woodlands Road where the Crepe a Croissant van used to be near Sainsbury's, the deli will be offering a selection of treats for late night revellers.

The latest opening follows the popular shops at St Enoch Square, Byres Road and Hope Street.

Owner Nic Sharp said: "We opened on Tuesday and this is our fourth place to open.

"The van used to sell crepes but we have now expanded our menu.

"The food will be something a bit different from what we have in our shops.

"Usually we have 24 doughnut flavours in store plus a mystery option of the day.

"So we will serve eight of the mystery flavours from our van."

Popular flavours include the cookie dough dynamite, peanut butter jelly time, the 99ner, bubblegum space cake and Creme Egg.

Another unique addition to the van will be the 'bad life decision' hot dog which is made of pulled pork, chilli, monterey jack cheese and mega death sauce.

There is also a 'sweet pig' milkshake, which apparently tastes like bacon crisps and ice cream.

Nic continued: "We would say we are different from the big doughnut chains as our food is very tongue in cheek.

"We like to be fun and lighthearted and aren't trying to take over the world.

"There are some great doughnut places in Glasgow but we feel our menu will really match our customers at the new venue."

As well as unusual doughnut offerings such as the bacon flavoured 'pignut', the shop also serves the likes of sandwiches, pancake stacks, hot dogs and American sweets.

Nic's Wee Deli will be open from 11am until 11pm on week nights and until 4am on Friday and Saturday for those who fancy a sweet scran after hitting the club.
