GARY Tank Commander star Gary McLintoch is vying for a role in Glasgow's first reality TV show.

Glow is an online series that will provide a glimpse into the lives of the young, stylish, successful and glamourous people of Glasgow.

The show, due to start in October 20, will be a homegrown version of popular shows such as Made in Chelsea and The Only Way is Essex

He later added: "But ah dinny own a night club or huv false teeth. STILL UP FIR IT BUT!!!"

He is also convinced that he should be the lead and producers should change the name to 'Gary Glow'.

The reality series is dubbed the city's answer to TOWIE and Made in Chelsea as it follows the lives of 11 up and coming socialites.

Cast members include Rangers star Maurice Edu's former flame Lauren McDonald and nightclub owner Brian Matthews.

The annoucement of the new show, which will air exclusively online every Thursday, has already received mixed reactions from Glasgow locals.

Over 3,000 people applied after producers touted the series as a rival to other reality TV shows and asked for applicants to have a love for drama.
