CONCERN is growing for a Robroyston man who has been missing for several hours.

John 'Kenny' Wright was last seen by family members at around 5.40pm on Thursday, September 29 and his family are extremely concerned for his wellbeing.

Police have already started carrying out extensive enquiries and say the 46-year-old is known to go for walks with his young son in the Robroyston area.

Glasgow Times:

Officers in the East End also confirmed it is out of character for 'Kenny' not to be in contact with his family and friends, and he has never gone missing before.

He is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of medium build with shaved in grey hair and a short but full greying beard.

He is believed to be wearing black jacket with a fur trimmed hood, bleached blue jeans and brown lace up boots. He wears yellow metal rimmed glasses.

Sergeant Catriona McConchie, from Shettleston Police Office, said: “There are concerns for Kenny's wellbeing and family and friends are extremely worried about him.

“He is known to frequent the countryside and forest areas of Robroyston and I would appeal to any dog walkers to keep an eye out and report any sightings of him to police.

“Anyone with information regarding Kenny’s whereabouts are asked to contact officers at Shettleston Police Office via 101.

“I would also appeal directly to Kenny to please get in touch with someone to let us know he is safe.”
