THE CAST of Glasgow's new reality TV show Glow are heading out of the city to film at a plush hotel in Lanarkshire.

The show's stars including ex-Rangers WAG Lauren McDonald and Merchant City nightclub owner Brian Matthews will head to the Bothwell Bridge Hotel on Sunday, October 8 to film the venue's annual charity ball.

It is the first confirmed location for the new series which has been dubbed the city's answer to hit reality shows The Only Way is Essex and Made in Chelsea.

Brian Matthews said: "Feel so flattered to be invited to such a massive event, all for a great cause."

The Autumn Charity Ball will raise money to buy new clothes, toys and food hampers at Christmas to under priviledged children. 

Glow will be aired weekly every Thursday at 7pm on a dedicated online channel and via an app which has been designed for fans to catch up with episodes. 

The show is a first for production firm GRTV who say their goal is to shine a positive light on Glasgow.

Producer Stephanie Docherty has confirmed filming has already started.
