James Jordan is never one to hold back when it comes to his views on Strictly Come Dancing.

Even though the professional dancer left the BBC show a while back, his Twitter commentary during each week’s episode is as much a part of the Strictly experience as spray tans and sequins.

He was back on form for the latest show, alongside wife Ola who is also airing her views now that she is no longer a contracted dancer with the series, and when James steps up to his keyboard the Strictly celebs should be feeling like Craig Revel Horwood is a kind old uncle in comparison.

James has a way of saying what we’re all thinking.

He was as confused as all of us as to the link between dance training and Ore Oduba visiting the fire brigade.

He doesn’t draw the line at his former colleagues, either.

But James is a great fan of Anton, and thought a lot of his routine with Lesley Joseph.

Much as we all loved Tameka Empson, James was onto a favourite theme of his – producers signing up celebrities who are already dance trained.

In fact, it cropped up a few times tonight.

He was brutally honest when it came to Anastacia, who’d been injured in training this week.

It was an ouch moment for Naga Munchetty, too.

Like the rest of the viewing public, James was a big fan of Ed Balls.

And James finds it all a bit of a slog in the first couple of weeks when there are just so many dancers.

But one celeb who can breathe a sigh of relief when it comes to James Jordan and his acid tongue is Dannny Mac…

…for now.
