Culinary fiends will be in for a tasty treat as the food festival kicks off this weekend at the St Enoch's Centre.

Shoppers will be entertained by MasterChef winner Jamie Scott who will be showcasing his skills with a series of cookery demonstrations this weekend across October 8 and 9.

Two of Glasgow's renowned restauranteurs will join Jamie in the kitchen including Jacqueline O’Donnell on Saturday and John Quigley on Sunday.

Foodies will enjoy demonstrations from some of the Centre's restaurants such as Kimbles and Muffin Break as well as a number of samples, offers and freebies.

Tesco will also be providing free fruit and vegetables each day.

Families are encouraged to bring kids along to get a slice of the action, with a special Kids Cafe offering cookery workshops from 11am-5pm.

Thortons and Millies Cookies will also be offering a decorating classes for messy pups.

Shoppers can help save the environment – and their pennies – by visiting Love Food Hate Waste, which will be providing tips on reducing food waste at home and beehive suppliers Plan Bee will be creating a buzz with their bee-related products including honey, honey beer and beeswax candles.

St. Enoch Centre is home to one of the largest food courts in Scotland featuring a variety of restaurants including Pizza Hut, Ed’s Easy Diner, Muffin Break, D’doce and Kimbles.

Anne Ledgerwood, general manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “Relaxing over a coffee or enjoying a meal with friends is an increasingly important part of the shopping experience. What better way to celebrate this and to showcase the variety of dining options available at St. Enoch than with a festival of food that the whole family can enjoy.”

St. Enoch Centre’s Food FeST runs from 8-9th October with main stage events on from 12-4pm. For more information, please visit www.st-enoch.com/
