148 jobs lost at printing firm

Around 150 workers have lost their jobs at a Scottish printing firm which has gone into liquidation.

Montgomery Litho employed 233 staff at sites in Glasgow and Haddington, East Lothian, but went into liquidation on Friday, blaming "trading losses and increasing cash flow pressures".

Blair Nimmo and Tony Friar of liquidators KPMG said 79 workers in Haddington and 69 in Glasgow were made redundant with immediate effect.

The company's base in Haddington will close completely. The 30-year-old company intends to continue operating while a buyer is sought.
