A MAN has been arrested after he was caught on the premises of a property - after the alarm went off.
The 22-year-old was arrested at around 1.10am on Sunday.
He was found with a hammer and a torch at the back of the shops in Quarry Street, Johnstone.
Police say the alarm at one of the vacant properties had been activated.
This man was also charged with being in the boundary of premises where it may reasonably be inferred that he intended to commit theft there.
He will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
